Description
Welcome to this historic, 1920’s Lake Union yacht charter, in Seattle.
Step aboard Seattle history when you embark upon this museum piece, 1928 motor yacht. The Allure was built in 1928 by the Jepsen motor company on Lake Union, Seattle, for professor Harris of the University of Washington, in order to implement his energy saving advances in ship design. The cozy interior of the ship is framed by large windows to see the views, and is finished with old-growth pacific northwest cedar and mahogany. A spacious and elegantly decorated salon seats six comfortably, with double French doors open to a covered outdoor seating cockpit. The entire cabin space connects together into an open entertainment area. A cozy antique cast iron wood stove stands at the ready to take the chill off the cool marine air. Suggested tours include a half day trip around Lake Union. or, if you are in a hurry, a three-hour canal tour. For an eight-hour day, you may visit nearby quaint towns, including the “Little Norway” or Poulsbo in its fiord, Bainbridge Island, or Port Orchard.
